Happy Easter

HAPPY EASTER!!

I hope that everyone had a great Easter. Ours was wonderful. We started by going to church with my parents at 9. We had a early start. After church the kids got their Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny and Tyden had his egg hunt. My Aunt Teany and her family was in town so they came over for a early dinner. After our vistit with my family we went back home. The Barker family was gathering for our Easter fun. We took pictures of the kids, ate dinner and then the kids had their egg hunt. Here are the pictures that I took yesterday.

MY KID PEES IN THE SHOWER

So yesterday I left the kids with my mom for a few hours because I needed to go to a meeting at work. When I got home she was telling me a story about Tyden having to go potty. He can go completely on his own except for the few occasions that he needs his bum wiped. Anyway, he went on his own like any other time. She followed him in there afterwards and noticed that the toilet was filling itself up with water and her shower floor was YELLOW. What a stinker. So on top of that last night he was going potty before bedtime and I could hear him peeing. When I walked past the bathroom he wasn't in front of the toilet. He was in the shower. When I caught him he got scared and started peeing on the bathroom floor. Where did he get this from? I don't know.

Morning Hair

This is what Hadlee looks like in the morning after a day of piggy tails. This is also a good idea of what Justin calls pajamas. We have the nightly fight of who puts who to bed. Hadlee is really easy. You just put her down and thats it. Tyden on the other hand is so good at stalling. It literally takes 15 minutes...Movie and chocolate milk, potty, prayers, 5 books, prayers again, whining about the glow in the dark stars and then asking for whoever didn't put him to bed. Seriously he is the Master of Stalling. So Justin beat me to it last night. He got Hadlee in her jamjams. She is wearing a pajama shirt and white and silver striped tights. The funny thing is that Hadlee didn't wear tights yesterday. He wanted her to be warm. The other day when I was working he brought her to my work with her shirt on backwards and inside out. If I don't have clothes layed out he will put them in the weirdest things.

I thought that it would be fun to see what the kids looked like 1 year ago. Scroll down a little bit to see them now.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Here are my too sweet babies in their Patty's Day shirts. Grammy always buys the grandkids a shirt corresponding to the holiday from Old Navy. Tyden is Mom's Lucky Charm and Hadlee is Dad's Lady Luck.

Nothing special happened today. I wanted to take the kids out because they looked so cute in their shirts so Kari and I went to Ross to find Justin his Easter tie. He HATES church clothes but this year I have decided to have us all match for Easter Sunday. After Ross we went to Target and I bought a dress for myself. It was on sale for $19. Yeah! I love sales. I want to take a family picture on Sunday so I will blog those later.

VOTE FOR TYDEN!

Today is the day to vote for the kiddieoke contest on 97.1 Go to 971zht.com click on the Kiddieoke link. He is contestant number 6. Please vote Tyden needs a vacation.

Happy 50th Birthday Papa!

Today is Russ' 50th birthday. I asked Tyden this morning if he wanted to call and sing "Happy Birthday" to Papa and he said "Sure" He actually took the phone from me and sang the whole thing and then told him that he loved him. It was the sweetest thing.
I just want to let Russ know how much we love and appreciate him. He takes such good care of all of us. He's an awesome Dad and Papa.

I'm BABY hungry...

I have been reading girls blogs that I went to high school with and they are ALL pregnant. It makes me sad because I know that we are not going to be having anymore kids (or so Justin thinks.) It makes me miss that sweet time when they are born. It's my favorite. I could do the labor a million times for the first 5 minutes when they are born. I absolutely HATE being pregnant but I would do it.

P.S. Let's just keep this between us. If Justin finds out he'll be in the doctors tomorrow getting a vasectomy.

Tag, these are lame but it's midnight and I can't sleep

Who kissed who first? I'm sure he would say me but we were sleeping and it just happened. Does that sound weird?
Who asked who out first? Justin asked first. He didn't even wait 24 hours.
Who was the first to say "I love you"? Justin, and after he said it I said, "Well that just ruined that moment." Rude huh? I don't even remember what we were doing. I think that we were driving home from St. George.
Who proposed? Justin (both times) He had flown in from San Fran for the day and had it planned with my parents. He did it in a gravel parking lot up in Zions.
How long have you been together? Married almost 4 1/2 years together almost 5 1/2
How long did you date? 11 months, engaged twice
Who eats more? Sad to say but me. I'm a snacker.
Who is taller? Justin
Who has more speeding tickets? That would be Justin, he doesn't pay them either until we are driving and gets pulled over for speeding and they arrest him for an unpaid ticket.
Who is more sensitive? That's hard. He cries when I comes to things about me...rarely. He didn't even cry when our kids were born. My family says that I have a hard heart.
If you have an argument, who usually wins the fight? It is probably even. We both know how to work eachother. It's a skill.
Who does the laundry? Me and the lady at the Dry Cleaners that Justin pays when I have been having a lazy week.
Who does the dishes? Kari and I rotate now but when we had our own place I would cook and he would clean up.
Who sleeps on the right? Am I pregnant? I always change when I'm pregnant. I'm on the right now.
Who pays the bills? Justin, If I did we would be in trouble
Who mows the lawn? Justin
Who makes dinner? My AWESOME father-in-law, the chef
Who usually drives? Justin, but his driving makes me crazy. I always end up yelling at him.
Who is more stubborn? Vicki
Who has more siblings? Justin, 2 sisters and 1 brother

I tag.....
Mikelle
Linds
Whitney
Kelli Ann

Tent and Doe's

Last night we went to Tent and Doe's house for dinner with the whole fam. Ian and Lindz brought the boys down from Logan and we got to see Jonah again. The boys were all over the place, like usual. These are some of the pictures that I took last night.

They all fit in the toy box because the toys are ALL over the floor. It was a mess!!

Jonah in the Lego box

Jonah on the Lego box!
They boys on the couch watching Little P's monster truck video.

This is Hadlee before church. She looked so cute I had to put the picture on my blog. This is the outfit that Jessica bought her for Christmas. It's the first time that she has worn it.

Hadlee's ear infection!!

So on Wednesday I took Hadlee to the Doctor. She was having cold like symptoms and coughing really bad. She hasn't been sleeping very well either. I thought that maybe it was because she was in a new environment and wasn't use to it. Of course Kari and my mom were a little worried about the cough and cold. Tuesday she was shoving a chap stick tube in her ear and I knew it was an ear infection. So conveniently Hadlee was done with her Medicaid insurance on the 29th of February. So the Dr. appointment was $50. When we got in the room Dr. Wall said that it was in fact an ear infection. The "good" news is that she is allergic to Penicillin so she can't have Ammoxicillin (the cheap one.) We have to give her Omnicef. Yeah, it was $50 too. Seriously my kids got ALL of they're medical problems from their dad. So if she gets anymore ear infections in the next few months we are most likely going to have to do tubes in the fall. It's like she is Tyden all over again. Poor Hadlee!

My Song!!!

video

So lately Tyden has been singing along with the songs on the radio. He sings really high pitched and doesn't really know the words. He actually sings the right words to Linkin Park. He's just like his daddy. Of course he likes it. He is always asking me to hear "his song." His song is "Shadow of the Day." Today Kari and I went to Wal-Mart and I bought the CD. Later I found out that the CD was old but the song was a new release. Very Nice. So tonight he wanted to hear the song. I put it into the DVD player and put it on repeat. He just bounced around on the bed and actually let me video tape him. Normally he wouldn't even let me come near him with a video camera. He's so cute.

I entered Tyden on the 97.1 ZHT Kiddieoke contest. You can go to their website and watch the video. The child with the most votes will win a trip to S. California. The voting will begin on March 14th @ 12 p.m. They will only allow 1 vote per i.p. address, so go online and vote for him. Don't forget. Our family needs a vacation.

We've moved!

Well we did it. We have moved in with the parents. We didn't want the Barkers to be lonely in a big house so Justin and I took it upon ourselves to fill the vacancy. Everyone needs to take a turn, right Mikelle? Tyden is a bit confused about the whole thing. When I tell him that we are going home he thinks that we are going to the house in West Jordan. He doesn't understand that Grammy's house is our house now. It's weird and I have been teasing Justin a lot about it. We are in the same room that he had when we started dating. Deja Vu! I am soooo glad to be done with the old house. It was an accident waiting to happen. I don't think that the garage door would have made it another month. The door doesn't like us very much. Well we are happy with the move and I'm glad that I have a live in chef. YEAH! I HATE cooking.
